City Lickers invites you to escape for a women’s only weekend at gorgeous Peregian Beach on the Sunshine Coast. Peregian Beach is a quiet little beach town with a relaxed coastal lifestyle about 13 km south of Noosa but from October 21-23 it will once again come to life as the host of the Big Lesbian Beach Escape. This three day weekend has been planned for all lesbians, of all ages and of all styles; this weekend has been planned for you.
The main hub of our beach escape will be gay managed Horizons at Peregian; Horizons has the perfect beachside location and a fantastic pool area for us to enjoy with heated saltwater pool, spa, BBQ and entertainment area.
On Friday night we will kick start the weekend with a BYO Pool Party at Hideaways Resort; there’s no need to dress up, this weekend is more about laughter, lesbians & lifestyle and there’s a good chance you’ll decide to be in the pool by the end of the night. There is an 8-woman spa for your enjoyment and a jukebox with microphone for our ‘would be‘ stars. Hot savouries will be provided as well as two Frozen Cocktail Machines for only $2 per drink.
Take the weekend off from driving too, our courtesy buses will be on hand to take you to and from Friday night's Pool Party.
On Saturday morning you can sleep in or better still come down to the beach where you can join our health conscious for a refreshing session of Yoga, learn to surf in our Surf Sessions or simply take in the sun, the sand and the surf.
For singles, we have a singles only brunch planned for you in a great rooftop location so that you have the opportunity to meet new friends and other singles to share the weekend with.
At lunch we’ll move to the park for a fully catered barbecue; a great chance for our local and out of town women to get to know each other. Make sure you bring your swimmers and towel and have a crack out our super slip 'n' slides.
In the afternoon get ready for our social Beach Volleyball Competition. Enter your own team of 8 women, or let us place you in a team, and get set to compete for the coveted City Lickers’ Trophy Cup. Take on the winners of last year - Team Jeff - who are sure to be back to defend the title. Both the beach and the park are directly across the road from Horizons.
Saturday night the fun continues at the Peregian Beach Surf Lifesaving Club with our Masquerade Secrets Dance Party - to sin in secret is no sin at all. Rockin lesbian singer - Jules Woo will be performing for us before our dance party begins with the awesome energy of DJ Du Jour from Sydney and DJ Arsee. Cheap drinks, finger food, great music and a venue full of women will only add to the highlights of this fantastic night.
Sunday is our recovery day with no set activities - sleep in, relax by the pool, enjoy a day on the beach or visit the friendly township - but don’t rush home, after all how often do you get to escape with this many women!

A short drive from Horizons. The Hideaway Resort is an intimate luxury resort and the host of our Friday night Pool Party. Located steps from the beach and just blocks from the dining and entertainment center of the Peregian Beach Core. Among the towering palm trees, one will find a beautiful pool accompanied by a new 8-woman spa. Hideaway will be women only as a one of for this weekend. Continental breakfast available.

Glen Eden Beach Resort
Next door to Hideaway Resort, Glen Eden's absolute beach front position is peacefully situated behind the dunes at Peregian Beach. Choose from spacious 1, 2 or 3 bedroom townhouses. Their extensive lawns and gardens are a great place to relax, as you leave your cares from the busy demanding world behind..
For ladies staying at Glen Eden, our courtesy buses will take you to and from Saturday night’s Dance Party.
Peregian Court Resort
Across the road from Hideaway, perfectly nestled nearby by the magnificent shores of south east Queensland, the Peregian Court Resort offers a relaxing and delightful holiday at the Sunshine Coast. Peregian Court accommodation boasts of lovely and spacious low-rise holiday townhouses. Stylish yet comfortable, each cosy fully self contained townhouse is equipped with modern home furnishings and provides full kitchen and laundry facilities. Be drawn by the breathtaking panorama of the Pacific Ocean at your very own private balcony.

Beachcomber Holiday Units
Across the road from Hideaway, these units are fully self contained with all linen provided. The lounge has TV CD/DVD player. The kitchen has a full size upright stove and refrigerator, microwave and ample cookware and crockery. The units are roomy and stylish Airconditioner to living area and ceiling fan in the bedroom.

Calypso Sands
5 minutes walk around the corner from Horizons. This colourful resort at Peregian Beach impresses everyone who see it. Stylishly designed townhouses overlook one of the two solar heated pools, set in naturally shady gardens.

Limited share accommodation is available through City Lickers for singles only. Share accommodation is great for keeping your costs down and giving you another opportunity to make new friends.

This penthouse will be the host of the Single's Brunch and is a Casuarina apartment. Casuarina adjoins Horizons, is managed by Horizons and has the same access to the pool as Horizons so it is very much on site and in the action of the weekend. The apartment is 2BR + Annex room and sleeps 4-6 persons.

DJ Du Jour
Born with beats coursing through her veins, Katrina Nughes a.k.a DJ Du Jour is what every
dancefloor wants and needs. With her rock chic style, notably raw talent and her eclectic
style of genres from Nu Disco Funk, Deep House & Soul to Tech & Progressive she can charm
any dancefloor.
She features regularly at Slide with Lemons With A Twist, Girlthing @ Q Bar and Summer
Lovin Sundays @ Diggies, Wollongong and new-to-Sydney, Lick @ Home Niteclub.
DJ Du Jour dream became a reality in 2011 winning the Mardi Gras DJ Spin-Off Competition,
landing her a gig at the Mardi Gras Party.
Her passion for music is evident behind a set of decks; the unequivocal emotion that she
injects is easily contagious.
What’s next? Furthering her DJing Career nationally and internationally as well as engaging
in production, the world is her oyster!
DJ Arsee
Jane aka arsee is working her way up the food chain of hungry Dj's, Standing out like no other. As a Brissie girl, she has always been exposed to new and exciting music and loves nothing more than playing to a crowd getting their groove on!
Growing up around her parents vinyl collection, arsee discovered her passion for music and hasn’t looked back since.
She loves playing all of those tracks you know and love, and once you hear this girls beats, you will have no option but to get your funk on! You really don’t want too miss this DJ!
Jules Woo
Jules Woo has been rockin in Brisbane for a number of years. Starting out as a busker in the Brunswick Mall, Fortitude Valley at just 18 years old, and then making her way to the pub scene before leaving Brisbane for a break and change of scenery.
After an extended break from Brissie & her music, Jules Woo has come back and hit the music scene hard with her acoustic rock sounds and big vocals!
2009 & 2010 saw Jules compete in many talent quests and at festivals and other events .
2010 saw Jules complete her first magazine interview for the well-known Brisbane street mag, Scene Magazine. It was the beginning of many interviews and appearances in selected media. (Not bad for a girl without a demo).
Jules Woo's powerful gravelly voice has attracted much interest and is often compared to P!nk, Janis Joplin, Tracey Chapman and Melissa Etheridge.
With never ending passion expressed in her solid collection of original music, Jules carries this passion through to selected cover songs and makes them her own. From Pearl Jam, Melissa Etheridge, The Animals to Florence and the Machine, Guns 'n' Roses, The Beatles. Even acoustic versions of Lady Gaga, Rihanna and some awesome P!nk covers thrown in for good measure.
Jules appeals to people of all ages and is watching the requests roll in.
Currently putting the final touches to her debut solo EP of original music (due for release in June) Jules Woo is screaming towards huge success in Brisbane and the Australian Music Industry and she is the female rock vocalist to expect big things from.

first time visitor and I was so impressed with all the preparation, info, venue and park, welcome and the things organised for the Sat. good food and lots of it, great fun with the wet & wild sssccccccccchhhhhllllllliiiiiiiiiiiidddddddde and volleyball - the age/ people mix was fun.
the dance was a blast - esp the Super group.

Hi Monique, just writing to say a big thankyou for hosting such a great weekend. I had an absolute ball, and have finally made some lesbian friends (yey!). I hope that you realise the impact that your social events can have on people. I found it pretty hard coming out, and would never have had the courage to actively seek the company of other lesbians at generic gay venues. You have opened up doors for me when I've felt like I was doomed to struggle down a dark and lonely corridor. Sorry to be so touchy-feely, but I truly am very grateful...

Hey Nic and Mon I just wanted to let you know that we had an absolutley awesome weekend. My body certainly has advised me that I am alive still. My torso muscles are slightly sore from the physical excertions of the giant slip and slide but... oh what a hoot!!!! The dance party went off and I have to say thank you for providing a venue that such a diverse group of women could meet. It is always wonderful to see other people, that I would normally not socialise with, in the same room and to experience their culture and fun. Every year my expeience grows just that bit more!!!! I can't wait for next year and look forward to comparing my sunburn with you.
